January 2024 We are delighted to congratulate Sean Hughes in being Schlich’s newest Associate. Sean now joins fellow Associates Juliette Boynton and Andrew Clements.
Sean joined Schlich in 2015 and qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2019. Since joining, Sean has been a key member of the team, helping to train junior team members and utilising knowledge from his BSc and PhD degrees in Biochemistry to assist many clients in patent drafting, prosecution, due diligence and opposition procedures. Of particular note is Sean’s experience working with clients in the immuno-oncology space.
In 2023, Sean was named as a Rising Star in the 2023 Managing IP Rankings, which highlighted his ability to appreciate the “full picture” and tailor his IP advice to clients’ commercial goals.
Sean’s promotion to Associate is well-earned and we look forward to watching his continued professional development in the future. Congratulations Sean!
